- António Félix da Costa crossed the line P14 in the second race of the Shanghai E‑Prix double‑header, and is now fourth in the Drivers’ World Championship*
- Mitch Evans was unable to start the race at the Shanghai International Circuit due to a suspected DC/DC issue with his car ‑ a Championship specification component as used by all teams

Heading into the final four races of Formula E Season 12, the British team retains the lead of the Teams’ World Championship with a six‑point advantage over Porsche.
Jaguar TCS Racing #13 driver António Félix da Costa moved up the order in the early stages in changeable conditions, having started the race from P13. However, as the track dried and cars around him took late ATTACK MODE deployments, the Portuguese driver dropped down the order and out of the points. António is now fourth overall in the Drivers’ standings 30 points behind leader, Pascal Wehrlein.
Jaguar TCS Racing #9 driver Mitch Evans was unable to take the start at the Shanghai International Circuit. After Mitch qualified in P12, a suspected DC/DC issue on his car ‑ a Championship specification component as used by all teams – prevented him from racing. Mitch is now second in the Drivers’ standings, just nine points behind Wehrlein.
Jaguar is second in the Manufacturers’ standings, closing the gap to Porsche thanks to a debut podium finish for Envision Racing’s Joel Eriksson. Envision are Jaguar’s customer team – and Joel former test and reserve driver at Jaguar TCS Racing.
Congratulations first of all to Joel Eriksson driving for our customer team, Envision Racing, on his third place finish today ‑ his first Formula E podium.
“For us at Jaguar TCS Racing it’s been a tough day at the office. After a difficult qualifying we were looking forward to a positive race ‑ but Mitch was unable to take the start due to a suspected DC/DC failure. This is a championship spec component, and it looks to be similar to the failure we had in Mexico on Antonio’s car in free practice. As it failed, it caused a fuse in the battery to blow. It’s very frustrating for us and for Mitch as these are common components not manufacturer parts.
“For Antonio, he made great progress early in the race when it was wet, running as high as P3 at the mid‑way point but, as the track dried unexpectedly, we lost position as we were compromised on remaining energy.
“We now reset and head to Tokyo, still leading the Teams World Championship and with Mitch and Antonio second and fourth respectively in the Drivers’ standings.

It was a difficult race today. We had pace in the early stages, but we were just unable to maximise the result on track.
“With four races to go, our focus now turns to Tokyo where we aim to bounce back back strongly.

JAGUAR TCS RACING DRIVER #13
Another very frustrating day ‑ for me and for the team ‑ with the DC/DC issue meaning I couldn’t take the start, but I’m still very much in the Championship fight.
“I’ll reset along with the team and will head to Tokyo to race hard as always.
