- Jaguar TCS Racing secured a valuable double‑points finish in a demanding, heat‑affected Round 7 in Berlin.
- António Félix da Costa (P9 start) and Mitch Evans (P14 start) initially dropped back to conserve energy and manage high temperatures.
- Evans defended hard to secure P6 despite light front‑wing contact, while da Costa used his energy advantage to retake P10 on the final lap.
- The team returns to Tempelhof tomorrow for Round 8 of the Berlin E‑Prix double‑header, with similarly hot conditions expected.
António Félix da Costa started P9 and Mitch Evans P14, with both drivers initially dropping back to conserve energy. This disciplined early phase saw António with one of the strongest energy profiles in the field, and he cycled towards the front of the net race lead after stopping for PIT BOOST early. In contrast, Mitch executed one of the latest stops in the pack, emerging with enough energy to attack in the closing stages. Both drivers navigated heavy traffic, rising track temperatures and intense mid‑pack battles as the post PIT BOOST race pace increased.
On lap 29, both Mitch and António took their Attack Modes, which saw them running P5 and P6 respectively the following lap.
In the final laps and as others used their Attack Modes, Mitch defended firmly to secure sixth place, even after light front‑wing contact, while António used his remaining energy advantage to reclaim tenth on the last lap. The result capped off a resilient team performance in tough conditions, converting strategy, patience and energy efficiency into a solid double‑points finish for Jaguar TCS Racing.
Jaguar TCS Racing return to the track tomorrow ‑ in forecasted similarly hot conditions ‑ at the Tempelhof Street Circuit for Round 8 of the Berlin E‑Prix double‑header.
The struggles we had in qualifying today meant I started further back than ideal, so to move through to 6th place is positive ‑ but ultimately I’m left frustrated.
"Strategy‑wise we were good and going for a late Attack Mode was the right thing to do for me, but the balance in the car still wasn’t where I want it to be which made it hard to fight. We’ve work to do on that before tomorrow.

That was a difficult race, and ultimately a frustrating result. The first part of the race I managed energy very well and was up on many of the cars around me, so after the PIT BOOST I felt I was in a good position ‑ even though I didn’t feel I had the best balance.
"Unfortunately our position after PIT BOOST didn’t stay as we expected around other cars pitting, and though I was still in the fight I was battling some de‑rates towards the end of the race. I felt we definitely left points on the table today ‑ so we’ll go away and analyse the data and will be ready for tomorrow.

JAGUAR TCS RACING DRIVER #13
First of all, congratulations to Nico Mueller on his first win in Formula E ‑ he drove a great race. For us, strategy wise the race was really well executed by both drivers and the team, but the fact that we scored points yet we wanted more means we didn’t get it completely right. The loss around the pit‑stops wasn't quite where we anticipated it to be, and the heat also caused us some issues towards the end of the race ‑ particularly for António.
"We should remember though that Mitch moved up from P14 on the grid to finish P6 ‑ and in points terms he’s now closer to the front of the drivers’ championship than he was before. So, still some great positives to take from today’s race. Our focus now switches to tomorrow. With no PIT BOOST and two Attack Mode opportunities, it is going to be a very different race again.
