Brazilian driver, Cacá Bueno, won at the iconic Monaco street circuit, turning his Paris fortunes around and scoring maximum and all‑important championship points in the Jaguar I‑PACE eTROPHY race.
Following Bueno closely was teammate, Sérgio Jimenez, who came second and achieved Jaguar Brazil Racing’s first ever 1‑2. American driver and current championship leader, Bryan Sellers, crossed the line third, leaving only one point between him and Jimenez as the series heads into the final quarter of the season.

I’m so happy. I always watch Monaco races on TV and see it as a very special venue, so to win a race here is fantastic. I needed the win because there was a gap building in the championship and these points keep me in the battle so I can go on to New York for the last race and fight for the title.

For the second time this season, Yaqi Zhang scored maximum points thanks to a clean race around the narrow street circuit. Just half a second behind was current PRO‑AM Championship leader, Bandar Alesayi in P2. Célia Martin completed the PRO‑AM podium finishing third – a hattrick of podiums for the French driver.
Today’s race result is fantastic, especially after a difficult qualifying. I had a great start, kept out of trouble in the first corner and managed to overtake six drivers moving me up to fourth. From there I was in a great place and crossed the line fifth as the chequered flag fell and finished P1 in my class.

To take the Jaguar I‑PACE eTROPHY to the iconic circuit of Monaco in the first season is great for the series. It’s been a very successful weekend with our all‑electric eTROPHY racecars showing off their performance around the tight street circuit, as well as H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco enjoying a hot lap with Nico Rosberg.

The next Jaguar I‑PACE eTROPHY race is in just two weeks time on 25 May 2019 in Berlin.
