Jaguar TCS Racing arrives in Saudi Arabia with renewed momentum following a landmark result in Miami. In challenging damp conditions at the Miami International Autodrome, Mitch Evans delivered a sensational drive from ninth on the grid to claim the team’s first victory of the 2025/26 season. The performance marked an historic milestone for the Kiwi, who secured his 15th career Formula E win ‑ now the most in the championship’s 11‑year history ‑ and surpassed 1,000 career points, becoming only the fourth driver ever to surpass that milestone. The victory also represented Ian James’ first win as Jaguar TCS Racing Team Principal.
The team came close to an even stronger result, with António Félix da Costa running firmly in podium contention for much of the race having qualified in third position. The Portuguese driver showed impressive pace in the opening stages and briefly led the race before unavoidable contact from another car forced him to drop back to eighth. Despite the setback, António’s determination ensured a valuable double points finish for the team.

The high‑speed waterfront layout of the Jeddah Corniche Circuit presents a fresh challenge and an opportunity to build on the momentum gained in Miami. With Evans rising to sixth in the Drivers’ World Championship and Félix da Costa moving up to 14th, the team sits seventh in the Teams’ standings ‑ a solid platform as the championship intensifies – with Jaguar third in the Manufacturers’ standings.
As the lights go out in Jeddah, Jaguar TCS Racing will aim to carry forward its strong form, maximise points across both rounds, and continue its push toward the front of the Season 12 fight.
Getting the win in Miami was a huge boost ‑ for me personally of course, but for the whole team too. It was one of those races where everything just came together, and to take my 15th Formula E victory with Jaguar made it even more special. Now the attention shifts to Jeddah, which is a completely different challenge. We’ve shown we have the pace, and if we execute well across both races, there’s a big opportunity for us to really ride this momentum.

Miami was bittersweet ‑ the pace was there, the car felt great and we were fighting at the front, but the contact took away what could have been a really strong result. Still, we came away with double points and a lot of positives to build on. Mitch’s win just shows what this team is capable of. I’m feeling more and more at home in the Jaguar I‑TYPE 7 every weekend, and as a team we’re heading in the right direction. I’m ready to keep pushing and fight for a big result in Jeddah.
ANTÓNIO FÉLIX DA COSTA
JAGUAR TCS RACING DRIVER #13
Miami was an important moment for the team ‑ not just because of the victory, but because of the way we achieved it. The performance, the execution and the resilience shown by everyone demonstrated what this group is capable of. As we head into Jeddah, our first double‑header of the season, the focus is on carrying that momentum forward. The Corniche Circuit is fast, technical and spectacular under the lights, and we’re ready to build on the progress we’ve made. There’s a long season ahead, but Miami has given us a strong platform to push from.
