- Jaguar TCS Racing secured a double‑top‑five finish in Round 4 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, with Mitch Evans securing third place on the podium and António Félix da Costa crossing the line in fifth.
- Both drivers steadily climbed through the pack, with Evans executing strong energy management and decisive overtakes, while da Costa battled consistently in the top group.
- Strategic calls including well‑timed PIT BOOST and ATTACK MODE deployments moved both drivers into podium‑contending positions in the first race of the double‑header weekend in Jeddah.
- Jaguar TCS Racing hits the track once more on Saturday 14th February, for Round 5 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.
After starting P10 and P6 respectively, both drivers navigated a chaotic opening phase that included a delayed start, a three‑wide Turn 1 shuffle, and an early Full Course Yellow that was later upgraded to a Safety Car.
Once racing resumed, da Costa immediately went on the attack, climbing into the top eight, while Evans focused on energy conservation to position himself strongly for the second half of the race. As the field remained tightly bunched, both Jaguar TCS Racing drivers executed a perfectly timed strategy: da Costa took an early PIT BOOST and ATTACK MODE to climb back through the pack, while Evans stayed out longer, cycling into the lead before making his own clean stop.

Da Costa surged into the podium positions with a series of decisive overtakes, while Evans rejoined in the top ten and quickly climbed through the pack. In the closing stages, both drivers fought at the front, with Evans moving into the top three and da Costa supporting the team’s strategy by allowing Mitch to maximise his ATTACK MODE advantage.
After a final exchange of positions in the lead group, Evans crossed the line in third place, with da Costa securing P5. Both cars return to track tomorrow (Saturday 14th February) for the second leg of the first double‑header weekend of the season, and Round 5 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.
I’m really happy to be back on the podium. It was a chaotic race at times, but we kept our heads down, managed the energy well and made the right calls when it mattered. The car felt strong and the strategy from the team put us in a great position to attack in the final laps – a proper team result. Two podiums in a row feels great, and we’ll be pushing hard to keep this momentum going into tomorrow.

That was a really positive race and a great result for the team. We had strong pace, the car felt good, and once we got into the rhythm, I was able to fight at the front and make some important moves. The strategy was executed perfectly, and I’m proud of how we worked together. P5 is a solid result, and we showed we have the speed to challenge for even more. I’m excited to go again tomorrow.
ANTÓNIO FÉLIX DA COSTA
JAGUAR TCS RACING DRIVER #13
Today was a race defined by smart calls, clean execution and teamwork. Both Mitch and António delivered composed drives, and to come away with a double top‑five and another podium finish is a testament to the momentum we’re building as a team. There’s still more performance to unlock, but this result gives us a strong platform as we head into the second race of the weekend tomorrow.
