ALESSANDRO GIUSTI TO DRIVE FOR JAGUAR TCS RACING IN MIAMI E-PRIX ROOKIE FREE PRACTICE SESSION

23 January 2026

This year’s Miami E‑Prix marks the first time Formula E has raced at the Miami International Autodrome, the challenging 2.32km circuit set to play host to an exciting round of the championship.

  • Former French F4 champion Alessandro Giusti will drive for Jaguar TCS Racing at the upcoming rookie free practice session in Miami
  • The exciting French talent is currently preparing for his second campaign in FIA Formula 3, where he scored two podium finishes in his debut season
  • The Miami E‑Prix rookie practice session takes place at the Miami International Autodrome on Friday 30 January
  • Jaguar TCS Racing drivers Mitch Evans and António Félix da Costa will then race in round 3 of the 2025/2026 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship on Saturday 31 January

Before Jaguar TCS Racing drivers Mitch Evans and Antonio Felix da Costa take to the track, the Miami International Autodrome will also hold a rookie free practice session for the next generation of motorsport talent. Alessandro Giusti will drive for Jaguar TCS Racing in the session on Friday 30 January, marking the next step in his promising racing career so far.

Giusti is currently preparing for his second season racing in FIA Formula 3, after scoring two podiums in his debut campaign leading him to tenth in the overall standings.

In 2022, the 19‑year‑old Frenchman notably claimed the French F4 championship before a successful two‑year stint in the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine, finishing sixth in his rookie season before improving to fourth in 2024, taking five wins along the way.

The rookie session will not be the first time the Jaguar I‑TYPE 7 has been put through its paces at the Miami International Autodrome, with Jaguar TCS Racing having teamed up with Brooklyn Peltz Beckham in Miami for the inaugural Formula E Evo Sessions event last year.

Following Guisti’s outing, and having shown strong pace in the opening two rounds of Formula E Season 12 to date but without points to show for it, Jaguar TCS Racing drivers Mitch Evans and António Félix da Costa will be hungry to maximise the team’s potential at the Miami E‑Prix.

There has been plenty to take away from the opening races of the season where we have shown good pace but have not yet been able to turn it into a result. The Miami E‑Prix is a fresh opportunity, and we will be doing all we can to maximise it.

“We’re also pleased to continue supporting the next generation of racing talent, and we’re excited to give Alessandro this opportunity in the upcoming rookie free practice session. Alessandro has already demonstrated his racing skills and talent in his young career so far, and we’re looking forward to welcoming him into the Jaguar TCS Racing team in Miami.

MITCH EVANS, JAGUAR TCS RACING

After a challenging start to the season, I’m looking forward to getting back out on track at the Miami International Autodrome and fighting for points for the team. A strong result there would give us real momentum for the rest of the campaign.

JAGUAR TCS RACING DRIVER, #9

As we saw in the last two rounds, there is strong pace in the Jaguar I‑TYPE 7 but so far we have not been able to pull everything together. The Miami E‑Prix gives us a great opportunity to bounce back strongly, and we will be pushing to fight at the front.

Notes to Editors

ABOUT JAGUAR TCS RACING
Jaguar returned to racing in October 2016, becoming the first luxury manufacturer to join the all‑electric ABB FIA Formula E Championship.

Since then, Jaguar TCS Racing has taken more than 20 race victories and over 50 podium finishes in Formula E, and secured the ABB FIA Formula E Teams’ World Championship and Manufacturer’s Trophy in 2024 – Jaguar’s first World Championship win since 1991.

Last season, competing in the all‑new GEN3 Evo era, Jaguar TCS Racing debuted its most advanced and efficient Formula E race car – the Jaguar I‑TYPE 7 – and took six race wins across the 2024/25 campaign. This is the most victories the British team has taken across a single season since joining the championship nine years ago.

Jaguar TCS Racing has a new driver pairing for the 2025/26 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship season. Mitch Evans – who has taken the joint‑highest number of victories in Formula E history whilst driving with Jaguar – will team up with Season 6 Formula E champion António Félix da Costa for the forthcoming campaign. The British team will be led by new Team Principal Ian James, who has previously overseen two Drivers’ and Teams’ ABB FIA Formula E World Championship victories for the Mercedes‑EQ Formula E Team and led NEOM McLaren to their historic first Formula E win in 2024.

Jaguar TCS Racing have also confirmed a long‑term commitment to the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship by signing to participate in the GEN4 era, set to commence in 2026 and running through seasons 13‑16.

Beyond its all‑electric concept, Formula E is unique in the world of motorsport for its choice of venues. The 2025/26 World Championship will see many events take place on temporary street circuits in the centre of the world’s major cities including, São Paulo, Jeddah, Tokyo and Monaco. Additional new venues include Miami and Madrid, with the season finale again set to play out across a double‑header race weekend in London.

As an official manufacturer team in Formula E, Jaguar TCS Racing designs its own powertrain, which includes the motor generator unit, transmission, inverter, and rear suspension. Jaguar, via its long‑term Formula E technical partner Fortescue Zero, will also supply Envision Racing with its powertrain for the GEN3 Evo era.

To control costs, the carbon fibre chassis and battery are common components and the same for all teams. This allows the focus to be on developing efficient and lightweight electric vehicle powertrains which will improve the performance and range of future JLR electric vehicles.

Formula E remains a key priority for JLR and the company’s Reimagine strategy. As the premier all‑electric world championship, Formula E allows the team to test and develop new electric vehicle technologies in a high‑performance environment. It continues to be the test bed for the team’s Race to Innovate mission that will see Race to Road and Road to Race learnings that will help shape Jaguar’s all‑electric future.

Through our Race to Inspire mission, Jaguar TCS Racing are committed to inspiring the future generation by using the race programme to create a positive impact on our planet and the communities in which we race. From competing in the world’s first net zero carbon race car to supporting and training the next generation of engineers and motorsport professionals.
