- Jaguar TCS Racing’s Nick Cassidy took a superb victory from fifth on the grid in Round 15 of the 2024/25 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship in London
- At the team’s home event, the Kiwi claimed his third win in the last five races to move Jaguar TCS Racing up to third in the Teams’ World Championship
- Nick’s second win in London was his tenth overall in Formula E as the Jaguar TCS Racing #37 moves up to third in the Drivers’ standings
- Although starting from a brilliant pole position, his second in three races, and leading for much of the race, Mitch Evans finished Round 15 in P10
- Jaguar TCS Racing heads into tomorrow’s season finale with four wins out of the last five races and five overall this campaign – the most the British team has achieved in a season since joining Formula E in 2016
It was the #37 Jaguar I‑TYPE 7 driver’s third victory in the past five races, and the team’s third in a row, with Nick finishing ahead of Mahindra’s Nyck de Vries and Porsche’s Pascal Wehrlein to move into third in the Drivers’ World Championship with one round of the 2024/25 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship still remaining.
Nick climbed from fifth on the grid to take his second career win at the ExCel London, a result which – along with four points courtesy of Mitch Evans’ pole position and tenth place – moves Jaguar TCS Racing up into the top‑three in the Teams’ World Championship, just 16 points adrift of second‑place Nissan.
Mitch Evans had started the team’s home event from the front of the grid after a superb qualifying performance for Jaguar TCS Racing, taking top spot by just under two tenths of a second from de Vries. Both Jaguars were in the Duels for the first time this season after Nick topped Group A, but the Jaguar TCS Racing #37 was narrowly beaten by Kiro’s Dan Ticktum in the Quarter Finals and would start from fifth.

A decisive move from Nick at the start moved the Kiwi into P4 and, despite a first lap safety car following contact further back, when the race resumed the positions throughout the field were largely unchanged until the Pit Boost window opened on lap 16. This kickstarted a hive of activity with a number of different strategies at play, with Nick making his Pit Boost stop one lap later with Mitch still retaining first place.
The Jaguar TCS Racing #9’s progress was halted, however, after taking Attack Mode a lap later than De Vries and Wherlein, with Mitch then losing ground behind Kiro’s David Beckmann whilst the German was in Attack Mode. The resultant time lost meant that when Mitch took his Pit Boost stop, he returned to the track down in eighth place.
A spin, after contact from Kiro’s Dan Ticktum, then dropped the #9 Jaguar I‑TYPE 7 driver out of the points. Mitch continued to fight and climbed back up to P10 in the closing stages to take four points overall from Round 15.
Nick had leapt up the order into second once the Pit Boost strategies had concluded behind de Vries with eight‑minutes of Attack Mode still to take whilst the Dutchman ahead had run out of Attack Mode deployments. The crucial move was made on lap 28 with the Jaguar TCS Racing #37 moving into the lead with plenty of cheers from the home support, Nick held on for his tenth career Formula E win despite another Safety Car period in the closing stages.
The team’s fifth victory in Formula E Season 11 represents the most wins Jaguar TCS Racing has taken across a single campaign since the British team entered the all‑electric championship in 2016, and with one race still remaining at the ExCel London tomorrow (27 July 2025).

To win on home soil is always a special feeling in front of so many employees and today is no different. Nick’s victory – our third in a row and fifth of the season – was a perfect combination of superb driving and excellent strategy. As we have seen so many times, Nick is always in contention and he executed the race expertly to win from fifth on the grid.
“The team are also really disappointed for how Mitch’s race unfolded. He absolutely nailed qualifying and maximised the pace in the Jaguar I‑TYPE 7 to take his second pole position in the last three races and looked to be in control heading the field. There were a number of factors which cost him the chance of a strong result today and cycling into slower cars around the Attack Mode and Pit Boost sequence is something that we will review and see how we could have managed that better as a group. The contact from Ticktum just typified Mitch’s season, it was unnecessary and Mitch was the innocent victim. Importantly today, Mitch showed once again his class and we know how strongly he will want to bounce back tomorrow.
“Everyone at Jaguar TCS Racing is incredibly motivated with one race to go and to try and finish a campaign – where we have scored our highest number of victories in a season in Formula E – on a high with so much still to play for.

It’s an unbelievable feeling to win here at home for Jaguar TCS Racing. We have so many friends, family and partners with us this weekend, so it is really special to take a victory on home soil.
“I knew we had huge potential in the car and although qualifying did not go entirely to plan we showed what we were capable of in the race. We got the strategy just right today and my team did an excellent job – we have worked incredibly hard to get to this point and it feels amazing to reward them with this result, and we go into the finale tomorrow full of confidence.

For me, that was a hugely frustrating race. I put the car on pole and was controlling the race from the front, but the team made a strategy call which cost me position and any chance of the win. They’ve acknowledged that, so we’ll discuss it together and move on.
