- Round nine of the 2018/19 ABB FIA Formula E Championship in the principality of Monaco
- Chaotic Paris E‑Prix saw Evans finish 16th and Lynn forced to retire after he and his Jaguar I‑TYPE 3 were pushed into the wall
- Panasonic Jaguar Racing continue to prove pace – topping the times in FP2 in Paris
- Both drivers aim for points‑finish in Monaco on May 11
Panasonic Jaguar Racing are pushing for podiums and points finishes in every remaining race this season. Paris was crazy with the first real wet race in the series and lots of things were out of our control. We set the fastest lap in FP2, and second fastest in the race – ahead of the eventual race winner. We learnt a lot in Paris including our first experience of Group 1 qualifying ‑ we will apply this knowledge and together with the proven pace of the Jaguar I‑TYPE 3 look to covert the weekend in Monaco into points and a strong finish.
For Formula E returning to the streets of Monaco is a highlight of the calendar. It is the most iconic street track and one all the drivers want to win. Mitch and Alex have both raced well here before in GP2 and will want to translate that knowledge and past success in the principality into a strong result this weekend.

Panasonic Jaguar Racing Team Director
I love racing in Monaco. It is a career highlight for any racing driver – to be able to drive on such an iconic track. And I get to sleep in my own bed for a change!
Rome was such an incredible race – for me, the team, everyone at Jaguar Land Rover and all of our sponsors – so finishing in P16 the race after, in Paris, was obviously disappointing. But it was a strange race – the weather, and the changing conditions – you felt like the results were out of your control. Heading out first in group one for qualifying was new for us, and we learnt a lot.
I finished in the points last time I raced here with Panasonic Jaguar Racing. This time I’ll be looking to better that and replicate my GP2 podiums.
Mitch Evans
Panasonic jaguar Racing Driver
Monaco will be my third race for Panasonic Jaguar Racing. I’m really enjoying racing with the team, but now it’s time to deliver results. I was having a good race in Paris before being shunted into the wall and forced to retire. I want a strong performance in Monaco and convert that to points for the team.
We proved in Rome and Paris that the Jaguar I‑TYPE 3 is a fast racecar, qualifying wasn’t where we wanted it to be so that will be a real focus heading into Monaco.
