Formula E is a global platform to raise both the awareness and benefits of electric vehicles but also to help drive their adoption and, in turn, reduce emissions. The fans are at the heart of everything we do and our aim at Formula E is to fuse culture with motorsport. The beauty of sport is the sense of emotional connection and it’s very clear that you need a core live audience to create the energy. The drivers are enhanced by fans, the teams and the partners love it and therefore their passion is super important for us to nurture.
"This being said, the health and safety of our whole ecosystem is absolutely paramount. It was really important for us to complete the season in a well-known Formula E environment and Tempelhof was a great option for this. We have to be really respectful of the city of Berlin, the people of Germany and protective of our group and this means one of the implications is that there won’t be fans due to limitations. However, we’re looking at innovative ways to tell the stories from Tempelhof through content and media. We hope that the fans will enjoy the remaining six races from afar and we hope to be back with our fans for season seven.
